“Working at the forefront of the fashion industry, stylists are currently preparing for the Fall Fashion Week.

For this story, I wanted to capture what they actually wear on a regular workday and how they still show their own personal style and color while working in environments that require them to stay active for long hours.

Like many other jobs in the fashion industry, styling often requires long hours of being on your feet and constantly moving around. Because of this, efficiency and comfort are just as important as looking stylish.”

A stylist’s day can also look very different depending on the project or company they are currently working with. Some spend long hours working indoors at a company or PR agency, while others style clothing directly on set or prepare costumes for film and stage productions.
More recently, the field has expanded even further, with stylists providing styling services through digital platforms such as applications.

This month, I met with five New York stylists working across different areas of the industry to capture their real-life daily looks on an actual workday.”
